Figured out my neighbor's Facebook comments were a bot after they posted 15 times about the same local zoning meeting

Last Tuesday I noticed this guy in our HOA group kept replying with the same copy-paste paragraph about parking laws. Checked his account and he had zero personal photos and a join date of 3 days ago. Has anyone else caught fake accounts in neighborhood forums?

My neighbor Phyllis got into it with a "Sarah Johnson" in our Nextdoor group last summer. This Sarah kept posting about feral cats and how we needed a city-wide trap and release program. Phyllis wrote a whole novel arguing with her for two days. Turns out "Sarah" was a bot from some animal rights org three states over. Phyllis still brings it up whenever someone posts about stray cats. She put a sign in her yard that says "Ask me about the cat bot scandal.

Wait hold on. Phyllis actually put a SIGN in her yard? That's incredible. I can't believe she went full yard sign over a cat bot argument.
