Got a customer service email that sounds WAY too perfect
I emailed a support team about a refund last Tuesday and got a reply back in 45 seconds flat with perfect grammar, zero typos, and a personalized greeting using my full name. The kicker is the message ended with a little smiley face emoji and a "have a delightful day" which no real human has ever said to me. Is that bot behavior or just a really over-trained support agent?

Man I bet that's a hybrid system where the bot drafts the reply and a human just hits send after a quick glance. They probably have canned templates that auto-fill your name and that "delightful" stuff is straight out of a corporate style guide. Either way it's creepy because it tries too hard to sound nice but ends up feeling like a scripted Christmas card from a robot.

Right, you're probably onto something there. I half suspect that "delightful" bit is just pulled from a list of approved adjectives HR spent months approving. @wright.leo I've definitely gotten replies like that where it feels like a bot wrote it and a human just hit approve without reading it. At least when I send a robotic-sounding reply to someone, it's because I'm genuinely out of spoons and copying a template from my own brain that says "please be nice even though you're tired." Guess we're all just faking it till they make a better algorithm.
