Hit 1,000 bot reports last night, the milestone surprised me more than I expected
I've been flagging obvious spam accounts for about a year now. Last night the counter on my app hit 1,000 exactly, right after I reported a crypto scam bot that used the same broken English template as 30 others I caught in February. I didn't track it on purpose, just happened to notice the number when I closed the report screen. It made me realize most real people don't bother reporting, so our data is probably way off on how many bots are actually out there. Has anyone else hit a big number and started questioning the whole system?

The reporting numbers only show the tip of the iceberg. Most people scroll past bots without a second thought, so your count probably represents a tiny slice of what is actually out there. I hit a similar point a few years back and started keeping a simple list of accounts I flagged, just to see patterns. Turns out the same groups recycle their messages every few months, so once you recognize a template, you can spot a wave before it hits. The platform might never fix the root problem, but at least your reports help train their filters a little better. Keep at it, but do not let the milestone make you think the system is working as well as it should.
