I finally reported a fake review account after watching it post the same 4 sentences on 11 different products
Last week I noticed a reviewer on a gadget site leaving the exact same 4 sentences on 11 different items, word for word, just swapping the product name. I had two choices: let it go, or spend 20 minutes grabbing screenshots and filling out the site's abuse form. I picked the report, mostly because one of the fake reviews almost got me to buy a $70 desk lamp that two real buyers said died in a month. Got an email back from the site today saying the account got flagged and pulled, and my own review of the lamp got a little badge for the report. Small thing, but has anyone else caught a review ring like this and did the site even bother replying?
