Serious question, I found out 1 in 3 comments on a local news page came from accounts under 30 days old
Last week I got into an argument on a city news page post about a new stoplight, and something felt off about the guy replying. I clicked his profile and he had a generic stock photo, no friends, and joined Facebook 11 days earlier. So I went down a rabbit hole and checked the first 40 commenters on that post by hand, and 13 of them had accounts less than a month old, all with zero post history. That is about 1 in 3, which seems way too high for a post about a stoplight in a town of 18,000 people. I now look at join dates before I argue with people and it has saved me a lot of wasted typing. Has anyone else tried actually counting this by hand, or am I the only one bored enough to do it?
