That moment I argued with someone for 20 minutes before realizing they were a bot
Had a whole back and forth with a user in a gardening forum about soil pH levels and they kept repeating the same three sentences from a Wikipedia article, that's when I clued in that I was wasting my time on a script, has anyone else had a bot make them feel like the dumb one for trying to have a real conversation?

Tbh I actually don't think it's that wild. People get really into gardening and it's easy to miss subtle signs when someone's just being helpful. The forum probably had good info and the conversation felt natural enough. Not like they were talking about aliens or cryptocurrency or something. Plus a lot of folks on those niche forums are just there to connect and share tips, not to question everyone's identity.
