Vent: My internet went down for 3 hours and I actually panicked
Power flickered for a second, router reset fine, but my fiber box stayed dark from 2pm to 5pm. Called my ISP and they said it was a 'maintenance thing' - sounded like a bot reading a script. You guys think it was legit or some automated excuse system?

Called mine and asked for a supervisor after they stonewalled me. Got a real answer in under 5 minutes.

I had something similar happen with my phone company once. I was on hold for over an hour and the lady kept saying "just one more minute" every five minutes. Finally asked for a supervisor and the whole tone changed. The supervisor actually looked at my account and fixed the issue in like two minutes flat. Made me wonder why the first person couldn't do the same thing. Doesn't that just drive you crazy how they make you jump through hoops for basic help?
