Caught myself replying to a bot with a full essay, felt stupid after
I spent 20 minutes typing out a detailed response to a comment on a cooking video, asking about the exact temp for caramelizing onions. Turns out the account was just recycling replies from 3 other videos, I noticed because they used the same phrase about 'umami depth' in 2 different spots. My wife spotted it from across the room and laughed. Anyone else waste real effort on these things before checking the profile?

Did you at least get a good caramelized onion recipe out of it, or was it all just 'umami depth' nonsense? I once wrote a whole detailed reply to a bot about sourdough hydration, only to realize it was just copying comments from a bread machine video. My phone autocorrected 'hydration' to 'hydration station' and I still sent it, so I guess we both lost that round.
