Hot take: I hit 100 species on my plant shelf and the last one was a weed from my own yard
I keep a running list of every plant I've kept alive for 6 months and the number finally rolled over to 100 last month. The last entry was a little wild violet I dug out of my lawn in Ohio, not some rare orchid I paid real money for. Here's my hot take: half the rare stuff people brag about is just hard to keep, not pretty, and my 100th plant is proof you can build a whole collection for free. What's the cheapest plant you've ever added to your list, and did it end up being one of your favorites?
