Peace lily bloomed after I used tap water by mistake
My peace lily had no flowers for three years. I always gave it filtered water from my fridge. Last month, I forgot to fill the jug and used plain tap water. A few weeks later, it pushed out a white bloom. This small win has me confused. Do other botany lovers have tips on water for peace lilies? Should I keep using tap water or switch back?

Xenah35 has a point about hard water... mine does the same thing with plain tap. I stopped using distilled water last year because it was such a pain, and now I get blooms every few months. I think the minerals in tap water might just be what they want... like a tiny bit of food. Maybe filtered water is too clean for them. I'd say stick with the tap for a while and see what happens.
