Appreciation post: the day my line pins finally behaved
Last Tuesday on a job in Akron, I set up my line pins on a 60 foot run and every single course came out dead level for once, no wind, no sag, nothing. Usually I fight those pins for an hour adjusting tension, but that day the string just sat perfect and I laid 300 bricks without checking it once. Anyone else have those freak days where your gear works flawlessly and you almost get suspicious of it?
Man, that kind of luck always shows up right before something goes sideways, like the world is just setting you up. But hey, I'll take a perfect run any day over fighting the wind.
