Hit 50,000 bricks laid last Friday and it messed with my head
Been doing this 12 years now. Never counted until I switched to a crew that tracks everyone's output. 50,000 is a weird number. Not a million, not a rookie. Just sitting in the middle. Does anyone else track their lifetime count or am I overthinking this?

Can't believe you actually counted every single one.

That detail about switching to a crew that tracks output really got me @ruby659. 50,000 bricks is insane when you stop and think about it. I've laid maybe 2,000 in my entire life on random weekend projects and my back still hurts just thinking about that. You must have hands of steel after 12 years of that.

Count 'em all? That's the kind of obsessive dedication I respect, but also kinda makes me wonder - did they give you guys a quota or was it more of a friendly competition between crews? Like, was there a leaderboard up on the wall or something? I've heard of warehouse gigs where they track pallets per hour, but brick by brick counting feels next level.
