I dropped $80 on a used mortar mixer and it paid for itself in one weekend

Picked up an old MK 100 mixer off Craigslist last month for $80. The guy said it ran rough but I took a chance. Got it home, cleaned the carburetor, and it fired right up. Used it on a retaining wall job for a neighbor and finished in 2 days instead of 4 hand mixing. Have any of you had luck with beat up equipment off marketplace?

Does it still have that old Briggs & Stratton engine on it? I picked up a cement mixer years ago with a cracked frame that I patched with a couple steel plates and some grade 8 bolts, still going strong ten years later.

Yep original Briggs, never even changed the oil just topped it off.

Same here @green.noah, never thought cheap clunkers could be that reliable. Totally wrong.
