I finally stopped soaking my brick in a wheelbarrow and just used a dunk tank, mortar grab got way better
Did a 400 brick wall in the backyard on Saturday and only had to tap 6 bricks back into line, usually it's closer to 30 by lunch. What are you all using to wet brick fast when you're working solo, dunk tank or something else?

I picked up a cheap mortar mixing tub from the hardware store for 12 bucks and just fill it with a few inches of water. Set the brick in there while I lay the last row, pull it out when I need it. The tub is wide enough for 4 or 5 bricks at a time so I don't have to walk back and forth. Key is to pull them out a minute early and let them sit, if they're dripping wet the mortar slides right off. Wet brick on a hot day is the real killer, they suck the water out of the mortar before it can set. Shade them too if you can, a wet towel over the stack helps a ton.
