Never thought I'd say this, but margin trowels are now my go-to for spreading.
For years, I stuck to my regular trowel and only used the margin for tidying up edges. Seeing another layer zip through a bed joint with a margin trowel made me try it, and the control is way better. How many of you use margin trowels as your main spreading tool?

Sticking with the default tool is a common habit. Like using a big kitchen knife for everything until you try a serrated one for bread. Or driving an automatic but shifting manually on hills for better control. Seeing someone else do it well often pushes us to try the specialized tool. It's about finding the right tool for the job, even if it means changing routines.

Always thought they were just for cleanup. Totally changed my mind after trying it on a full joint.

Used mine as a paperweight for years, feel pretty dumb now.

We often underuse the stuff we own because we stick to what we know. My phone had so many features I never touched until I saw a tutorial online (game changer for my productivity). It's easy to miss out on better tools when we don't dig a little deeper.
