Bought day-old bread at 7-Eleven, now I plan dinners around it

I stopped at the 7-Eleven on Broadway last Tuesday and noticed they mark down day-old baguettes to 99 cents after 6pm. Grabbed two and made garlic bread for pasta, then croutons for salad the next day. For $2 total I got side dishes for three meals. Has anyone else tried building meals around discounted bakery items?

Honestly that's the kind of move that makes me respect the hustle. Day old bread is a total win if you know what to do with it.
