I wasted $40 on a spiralizer that broke on the first zucchini
Bought this cheap spiralizer from a discount store last week, thinking I'd save money making veggie noodles. First zucchini I tried, the handle snapped right off and the blade bent. Anyone else had a budget kitchen gadget that just fell apart immediately?

@baker.christopher yeah you're right about it being a no-name brand, but I think the bigger issue is the store itself. Discount places like that don't care about quality, they just want to move junk off the shelf. Probably made from plastic so thin you could see through it.

...and then the thing broke, right? What brand was it even, like a no-name from the dollar store or something? I had a similar thing with a mandoline slicer that basically exploded the first time I tried to cut a sweet potato. Did you at least try to return it to the store, or did you just toss it in the trash? Id be curious if they actually give you your money back for something that literally falls apart that fast.

Used to think brand didn't matter, but that mandoline story changed my mind completely.
