My weekly food bill dropped by $30 after I started making my own pizza dough.

I used to buy a frozen pizza every Friday night, which cost about $12. After watching a video from a local cooking channel, I tried making dough from scratch with just flour, yeast, salt, and water. The first batch was a bit tough, but by the third try I got it right. Now I spend maybe $2 on ingredients for two pizzas. Has anyone else found a simple recipe that cut their takeout spending?

But what about the time you spent making it?

That time is already gone. I'd rather have the thing I made.

Ugh this hits home lol. I've totally kept projects I hated just because of the time I put in. But that time is gone whether you keep it or not. If the thing itself isn't working for you, it's just taking up space. Toss it and free up your brain, the time was already spent.
