Found out my old lease contract has a clause I never noticed in 15 years

I was digging through my office files last Tuesday looking for a tax receipt, and I found the original lease for my first storefront in Portland. I signed it back in 2009, and there it was on page 8, a renewal option that auto-extends every 5 years unless I give 180 days notice. I had no idea that was in there, my landlord never mentioned it when we renegotiated in 2014 or 2019. How often do you guys actually reread old contracts after you sign them, or is it just me?
