I finally read my vendor contract after they hiked prices 22% and the auto renew clause is brutal
My main supplier emailed on August 3rd saying my rates were going up 22% starting September 1st. I called to push back and the rep just pointed at section 7 of the contract I signed back in 2022, which says they can raise prices once a year with 30 days notice. Then I saw the auto renew clause in the same section, the deal rolls over for another 24 months unless I send written notice 60 days before the end date. That means my window to walk away already closed in July and I never got a reminder from them. Has anyone successfully gotten out of an auto renew like this, or am I stuck for two more years?
