Dropped $60 on a fancy boning knife and it totally burned me

I been using the same old Victorinox for years and finally caved and bought this hyped up $60 boning knife online. It felt nice in the hand but the blade chipped on the third deer I broke down. Swapped back to my $25 Victorinox and it handled fine. Anyone else waste money on a knife that just couldn't hold up to real work?

@emmaking yeah it's wild. I get that hunting takes skill but chipping on the third deer feels like bad luck or bad setup. I've had friends lose deer with broadheads but chipping sounds like the arrow just hit wrong. Maybe the shot placement was off or the broadhead was dull. But man three times in a row with one deer is brutal. I'd be checking my gear hard after that.

Dull broadheads or bad shots, doesn't matter. Three chips is just awful luck.
