Passed on the $35 bench scraper at Bed Bath for a year, then my $3 putty knife did the same job
Everyone on here says you need a heavy stainless scraper to work dough or clean a flat top, but I grabbed a 4 inch putty knife off the shelf at Ace in Reno for $3.19 and it cuts and lifts just as clean. The corner of that blade gets under a stuck burger patty better than a rounded scraper does. I get why people like the wide ones, but the thin flex on a putty knife is honestly the point. What cheap tool do you keep reaching for over the fancy version?
