Serious question, my toaster and my blender both died the same week and I spent $94 replacing stuff I didn't need
So three weeks ago my toaster started smoking and my blender made a sound like a dying goose, both within four days of each other. I went to Target in Boise to grab a cheap replacement toaster, just one toaster, and walked out $94 lighter with a toaster, a hand mixer, and a tiny food processor I have used exactly zero times. Then a guy at the checkout said 'that processor is on sale, you'll use it way more than you think' and I believed him like a fool. Fast forward to now, the toaster works great, the mixer is fine, and the food processor is still sitting in its box in my pantry judging me. My whole kitchen counter looks like a small appliance museum and I am out $94 for one dead toaster. Has anyone else gone in for one thing and walked out with a cart full of stuff they never touch?
Walked into Target for a toaster and came out with a whole kitchen, that food processor box is basically a monument to a smooth talking stranger. So what stopped you from taking the processor back for a refund while it was still sealed? You had the receipt, the box was never opened, that is an easy $30 back in your pocket. But you kept it, which makes me wonder if some part of you still believes that checkout guy. Have you ever actually opened it since, even once, to prove him right? Be honest, because I bet that box is still sitting there in the pantry getting dusty.
