TIL the $50 air mattress pump is worth it if you camp more than twice a year
I used to grab the $12 battery ones from the gas station and they died by 3am every single trip. Last summer at Yosemite I finally dropped $50 on a rechargeable pump that inflates and deflates in like 90 seconds. Honestly, the deflate function alone saved me an hour of wrestling a soggy mattress into its bag on checkout morning. Has anyone else made the jump to a nicer pump or do you still hand-pump it to save cash?

That deflate function is a game changer, seriously. I was the same way, cheap pump dying at 2am, and now I won't even pack for a trip without my good one. Soggy mattress wrestling is now a thing of the past for me too.
