Got lazy and tried a cheap biscuit joiner from Harbor Freight
My old biscuit joiner died halfway through a kitchen job last month and I needed something fast. Grabbed that $60 one from Harbor Freight just to finish the job, figured I'd replace it later. That thing cut so far off on every slot I had to shim every single joint with wood filler. Learned my lesson - buying a cheap tool for one job cost me three extra hours of fixing mistakes.

yo wait THREE HOURS of fixing? that's brutal man. i would've thrown that thing across the garage after the first slot went crooked. did it just walk sideways on you or was the fence like totally loose?

Took me about 45 minutes just to realize the fence wasn't even square from the factory. So the whole time I'm fighting it and it never had a chance. Should have just bought a speed square and done it by hand.
