My neighbor's new kitchen has these huge, handle-less cabinet doors.
He said the installer told him it's called 'integrated pull' and is super popular now. Has anyone here switched to making cabinets like that, and is the hardware really that much more expensive?

Yeah, we did that in our last remodel. The hardware itself isn't the big cost jump, it's the cabinet boxes needing to be built super precise for the hinges. I mean, if the door is even a little off, it won't open right. Our guy charged more for the labor to get it perfect.

But what if the extra cost is just for the fancy hardware? I've seen some of those hinges that cost a ton by themselves. Maybe the labor is the same but the parts price got rolled into the install quote?

Totally feel that about the labor cost. I watched my buddy redo his kitchen and the cabinet guy spent like two hours just shimming one door. It was maybe an eighth of an inch off and the hinge wouldn't catch right. You're paying for that guy to have the patience and the good eye to get it perfect, not just the hinge itself. Makes sense they charge more.
