Warning: My biscuit joiner tried to become a flying squirrel yesterday
I was cutting slots for a maple cabinet face frame, and the thing just... let go. The whole motor block shot out of the housing and bounced off the wall. It happened right after lunch, and my helper just stared and said, 'Well, that's new.' I had to finish the job with a router and a jig I threw together in about twenty minutes. Anyone had a tool fail in a way that was just plain weird?

Ever have a drill chuck just decide to unscrew itself mid hole? Mine did that, left the bit spinning in the wood like a weird top.

Honestly, did it wreck the hole or just make a weird mess?

Tbh I had that happen with a cheap import chuck. I ended up just replacing the whole chuck with a Jacobs brand one. No issues since, it grips way better.
