Why does nobody talk about cheap drawer slide jigs being a total waste?

I bought a $40 jig from a big box store last month and it was so flimsy I messed up 4 cabinet boxes before giving up. Anyone have a solid brand they actually trust for this?

Nah, cheap jigs are fine if you know how to use them. Sounds like @brookeellis just had a bad day in the shop, lol. I've built a ton of stuff with the basic ones and they work great once you get the hang of it.

Maybe you just got a bad one, they're usually fine for basic work.

Honestly had the same issue and just swapped it for a different brand. Works way better now.
