Guy in Tampa handed me his drop ceiling tiles and said "don't drill, just fish it", cost me 4 hours
Doing a commercial job off Dale Mabry last month and the facilities guy, Marcus, tells me to skip drilling the tiles and fish the coax through the grid gap above. I did it his way and the fish tape snagged on a sprinkler pipe bracket for 3 hours straight, plus I had to pull a ceiling tile out anyway to free it. Next time I'm drilling my own holes and patching, no matter what the building guy swears works. Any of you had a client or GC tell you to run cable some way that sounds fast but eats your whole afternoon?
