A quick heads-up about the new Canon RF mount grease from the factory
For years, I used the same white lithium grease on every lens mount I serviced, including the old EF ones. About six months ago, I started getting RF lenses back with stiff zoom rings within weeks of a clean and lube. The factory grease on these is a specific synthetic blend, and mixing it with the old stuff causes it to gum up. Now I completely strip the factory grease with isopropyl alcohol before applying my own. Has anyone else run into this binding issue?

My old car radio gummed up the same way.

Had good luck with a plastic-safe contact cleaner spray. Just a quick blast into the volume knob fixed mine for a few more years. Might be worth a shot if the unit is still getting power.

My 2003 Honda's radio volume knob started cutting out last month. I tried that exact spray fix, but I think I used too much because now it only works on the loudest setting. Guess I turned my car into a rolling concert for no reason. Should have just lived with the static.
