Chose a HEPA filter over a standard one for my lens cleaning station - big mistake
I had to pick between a $40 HEPA tabletop filter or a $15 standard fan for blowing dust off my repair bench last month. Went with the HEPA thinking it was safer, but it barely moves any air and now I'm fighting static cling on mirrors. Has anyone else found a cheap way to keep dust down without dropping $200 on a real clean room setup?

Did you try adding a simple ionizer bar near your bench? I picked one up for like 20 bucks online and it killed the static cling problem with my mirrors. The filter still sucks for airflow but at least dust isn't sticking anymore.

Those things are surprisingly decent for cheap.

Spent 15 bucks on a similar ionizer from Harbor Freight. Just clipped it to the side of my work light and it actually worked. Dust still settles but at least it wipes off easy now.
