Dropped $300 on a digital torque driver for lens mounts and it feels like a cheat code.

I used to just go by feel, but after a repair came back with a loose element, I bit the bullet. Anyone have a favorite torque spec resource for vintage stuff?

Check the lens service manual, they often list torque specs in the assembly section.

Page 23 has the torque chart.

Money well spent. That loose element is exactly why I stopped trusting my hands. The service manuals are the best bet, but they can be hard to find. I keep a folder of scanned pages for my common projects. It's a pain to set up, but once you have the numbers, the work gets so much faster and more reliable.

Honestly, pat_murray53 is right about page 23, that chart saved me last time.
