Found a cracked focus ring on a customer's 24-70 last Tuesday and it was from a drop he swears never happened
Told him the hairline crack lined up with the zoom barrel dent, and he went quiet for 10 seconds. Any of you keep a cheap USB microscope on the bench for showing customers stuff like this, or am I the only one doing show and tell now?

Pretty sure that 10 second silence was him doing math on the repair bill.
