Just realized a tiny screw adjustment revived my oldest camera.
Such a simple fix brought it back to life.

Yeah, that happens way more than you'd think with old cameras. I always give all the tiny screws a gentle tighten if something's acting up. Kind of the first thing to check, really, and it's often worth a shot.

That's awesome when a tiny fix makes all the difference! I love giving old gear a second life, it feels so special. Really happy for you that it's working again

Giving old gear a second life really is special, @amy_coleman, and I've found that often it's the simplest fixes that work. With an old film camera I had, the shutter was sticking until I carefully cleaned the rails with a bit of alcohol. It felt great to save it from the junk drawer and get it taking pictures again. It feels good to understand how the thing works and make it right. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of patience and a gentle touch, like Fiona said about the screws. That tiny bit of care can make all the difference, just like you said.

Man, my buddy's dad had this ancient 70s stereo that just started blasting static. My friend was ready to trash it, but I remembered what @fiona_henderson said about checking connections first. He opened it up and just reseated this one loose ground wire on the amplifier board. Thing fired up perfect, no more noise at all.
