Stumbled on a tough call about revealing extra flaws in a repair

Half of me thinks we should just fix what's asked, the other half says pointing out other issues is the right thing. Where do you stand on this?

Oh man, this is a daily struggle. Full honesty is the only way. It builds real trust. You might stress someone out for a minute, but letting a hidden problem wreck their stuff later is way worse. That guilt sticks with you.

Reminds me of when I opened up my old laptop last year.

But what if pointing out every little thing just stresses the customer out? Sometimes fixing the main issue first is enough.

Martin Wren's laptop story hits home. I used to be in the "just fix what's broken" camp. Seeing how hidden problems blow up later changed my mind for good.
