TIL you don't need a lens spanner for old rangefinder infinity adjustments

Spent ages hunting for a proper spanner to calibrate a 1950s Voigtlander, then realized a bent paperclip and some patience did the job just as well. Has anyone else found simpler tools work better than the specialized ones on older gear?

Coins only work if you want to add a nice scratched pattern to your lens ring for that "vintage patina" look lol. Tried using a butter knife once on a beat up old Canon P and ended up with more metal shavings than adjustment done. The real pro move was using a pair of tweezers with the tips ground down on some sandpaper. Free tool, zero regrets. Sometimes the "right" tool is just the one that doesn't make you cry when you slip.
