Finally dialed in my camp coffee after years of terrible instant
I used to just boil water and dump in a packet of that gritty stuff. This spring I grabbed a cheap GSI pour-over cone for $12 and it's a total game changer. Anyone have a favorite small-batch coffee they pack in?

Wait, you really think the bag is the problem and not how fast you go through the beans? I've had a totally different experience with those resealable bags. I mean, I get the logic of an airtight canister. But honestly, as a delivery driver, I'm gone for ten hour shifts and the last thing I want is one more thing to pack. I just press the air out of the bag, seal it tight, and keep it in my cool, dark cupboard. My coffee tastes fresh for a solid two weeks that way. Your mileage may vary, but I've never noticed a big drop-off after the first week. Maybe it's the roast level or just my tastes being less picky.

That pour-over move is a total revelation, isn't it? I made the same switch last year and finally started actually enjoying my morning brew in the woods. My go-to lately has been this local roaster's light roast that comes in a resealable bag.

Honestly, I'm with you on the pour-over, but that resealable bag thing is a trap. Once you break the seal, it's going stale fast no matter what the bag says. I just dump the beans into a proper airtight canister as soon as I get home. The difference after a week is pretty clear.
