I know everyone loves those fancy titanium sporks, but my $35 one bent in half on some frozen chili

For frozen chili, you really need a steel spork, titanium is too brittle.

But is the chili really that frozen? I've used a titanium spork on freezer burned stuff before and it was fine, just don't try to pry a brick.

My old titanium spork snapped on some three-month-old chili.

Feel for you, that's a rough way to lose a favorite piece of gear. Nothing worse than a tool you trust letting you down on something as simple as leftover chili. I've had a titanium spoon get that weird bendy feeling before digging into something cold, never a full snap though. Guess the metal really does have its limits when you hit a frozen chunk just wrong. Hope you can get a replacement without breaking the bank.
