Just realized my tent stakes were the weak link after that windstorm

I was talking to this guy at the Shenandoah campsite last weekend, he runs a gear rental shop in Harrisonburg, and he said most people blame the tent fabric but it's always the stakes. He pointed at my cheap aluminum ones and said they bend at 20 mph gusts, which is exactly what happened to me on Saturday night. Anyone else had a tent collapse that was actually a stake failure, and what brand do you trust for rocky ground?
