My buddy's 5 word drink advice about that canceled mixologist was dead wrong
Last spring a bartender friend told me to skip the new spot by the old skate park because the owner got canceled for faking charity donations. He said their cocktails were still worth trying. I went, spent $58 on two rounds, and both drinks tasted like melted popsicles. The owner came back two months later with a whole apology tour, but the quality never came back either. My friend still defends his advice saying it was about the concept, not the liquid. Has anyone else trusted a pal's take on a canceled brand and ended up eating the loss?
