The $220 'canceled' influencer retreat was a total cash grab
I dropped $220 on a weekend retreat run by that wellness influencer who got canceled in 2022 for fake detox teas. The whole thing was just her reading from a $12 ebook and making us do breathing exercises in a rented Denver barn. Airfare and hotel cost me another $400 on top of that, and I left early on day two. Has anyone else paid for a comeback tour from someone who never really apologized?

$220 for reading exercises in a barn sounds about right for the "canceled and back" special. It's like these influencers figured out that being messy actually sells more tickets than being clean, so they just skip the apology and go straight to the retreat circuit. I see the same thing with that guy who runs the "leadership seminar" at my local rec center, he got sued twice and still charges $80 a head for basically a PowerPoint and some trust falls. The whole economy is built on people paying for the fantasy that someone else's life lessons are worth more than their own common sense. At least you got out early, some folks sit through the whole thing just to say they did.
