The apology tour that never actually happened, just vibes and a new album
same thing happened with that comedian who got dropped from the podcast network in 2022. he did a 'listening tour' where he only talked to friendly outlets and then came back on a smaller show like nothing happened. i checked his socials and there's zero acknowledgment, just new merch. i think we need to agree on what actual redemption looks like before we hand out second chances, or at least stop pretending their silence is maturity. has anyone made a list of celebs who actually did the full apology and changed their behavior, vs the ones who just waited us out?

The playbook is always the same. Lay low, do a few soft interviews with people who already like you, then pop back up with new stuff and act like the last two years never happened. I've watched it with at least three different guys now and it's wild how identical the moves are. Actual redemption has a paper trail: you name what you did, you say who it hurt, and then you change something real, like losing the sponsor or stepping back from the tour. What you're describing is just a waiting game with merch. A running list would be great because right now everyone's gut feeling gets wiped by the next press cycle.
