Hit 1000 days on my current job tracker app and it made me think about quitting

I opened the app this morning and saw the number, which felt huge because I almost left this mail route after the first six months. That little digital pat on the back made me realize I've built up a ton of specific knowledge about this neighborhood that feels hard to walk away from. Has anyone else hit a random work milestone that made you pause about a career move?

Oh man, that watch thing really does mess with people's heads sometimes. It's like hitting that five year point makes you stop and actually look at where you are for the first time in a while. The gift just forces you to think about whether you really want to keep going there or not.

Maybe it's just me but these anniversary posts always feel a bit over the top. Like, it's a nice round number so people make a huge deal. My buddy got a watch for his five year and acted like he won the lottery, but he was already looking for a new job a month later. Idk, maybe the milestone itself makes people think it's a bigger deal than it actually is.
