It took me 11 months to figure out why my resume kept getting tossed
I sent out 60 applications over 11 months and got almost no replies, and the culprit was a weird one: my resume was saved as a .pages file, so half the systems couldn't even read it. A recruiter at a small firm in Denver finally emailed back to say my attachments came through blank, which explained a lot. Switched to a plain PDF and got two interviews in the next three weeks. Has anyone else had a file format quietly sink their whole job search?
