My boss told me to 'just be more confident' and it made things worse
I started writing down three small wins from each day in a notebook, and after a month, I stopped needing the list. What's a simple trick that actually helped you in a tough job?

Honestly, sometimes the "tough job" feeling is just a bad week. I've had bosses give useless advice like that, and you just have to let it roll off. The real trick is figuring out if it's the JOB that's tough or if you're just in a rough patch. Grabbing coffee with a coworker you trust can cut through the noise faster than any notebook trick.

Last Thursday I spent two hours staring at a broken spreadsheet before my buddy Mark from accounting grabbed a coffee with me. He pointed out one wrong formula and the whole thing fixed itself. You're totally right, roberth66, that outside view from someone you trust cuts through the frustration way faster than any generic advice.

Honestly @roberth66, maybe we all just need a nap instead of another coffee.
