Unpopular opinion: turning down the $4/hr raise my boss offered in March was the best career move I made
He pulled me into the office at the end of my shift and slid a paper across the desk with the number on it, and I asked for the training budget instead. Got certified on hybrid systems by June and left for a job in Fort Worth paying $9/hr more.
