Cutting stair stringers with a speed square jig I made from scrap plywood in my garage in Des Moines
Two weeks ago I got tired of measuring each riser by hand, so I screwed a 6 inch scrap of 3/4 ply to my speed square as a fence and it locked right onto the stringer edge every time. Made eight cuts on a set of basement stairs and never lost the line once. What's your go-to trick for keeping a square steady on long stringer cuts?
