Hit 500 stair stringers cut this week, number 412 was the scary one

Been framing basement stairs for a remodel job outside Cleveland and I just realized I passed 500 stringers total since I started keeping track 3 years ago. The weird part was number 412 last Tuesday, my old circular saw blade started chattering halfway through the cut and the math was off by a full 3/4 inch. Had to redo that one twice because I trusted the numbers instead of stopping to check the fence. Luckly I had a spare blade in the truck and the next 88 came out clean. Anyone else hit a weird milestone that made them rethink their setup?

Did you ever figure out what caused the fence to shift, or was it just one of those days where the saw decides to act up on its own? I had a similar thing happen back when I was doing crown molding in a house that had walls out of square by almost an inch. I kept trusting my miter gauge instead of rechecking the wall angle, and I ended up cutting three pieces before I finally stopped and measured the actual corner. It was humbling, but now I always double check everything with a speed square before I commit. Sometimes the tool is fine and your head is just tired from counting the same thing over and over.
