A job in a Phoenix condo building made me stop using that cheap seam tape for good.

The Arizona heat warped the tape in a hallway, causing a seam to pop within a month. I switched to a premium brand with a higher melt point and haven't had a callback since. Anyone else have a go-to tape for hot climate installs?

Disagree about the tape being the main issue. That Phoenix sun will wreck any adhesive without proper prep and a solid subfloor. You just got lucky with a better batch that time.

Ever try to fix a seam in this heat, @theajohnson? I'd probably melt before the tape does.
