Hot take: that one bulked seam in a closet set me back 3 hours last Tuesday
Had a 12x14 bedroom in Akron with a walk in closet and the seam landed right at the doorway transition where the pad was already glued down. Took me 3 hours to fix because the backing frayed every time I tried to trim it flat with my knee kicker, and I went through 2 chunks of seam tape before I got a clean seam. The customer kept poking her head in asking if I was almost done, which did not help. How do you all deal with a seam that falls right at a doorframe where you can't hide it under the metal?
Man that doorway seam is the worst, had one in a Toledo apartment where the pad was stapled down tight and the backing just shredded on me. Wound up cutting it back further than I wanted and using a strip of seam sealer to lock the edges before I taped it, that finally held. Customer hovering is the real killer though, hard to focus when someone keeps checking on you.
